Found at Ntebeko Gate in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, Mgahinga community campground offers breathtaking views of the Crater Lakes, the Virunga Volcanoes and the western arm of the Great Rift Valley.
The campground has a self-contained banda and two bandas that accommodate 3 beds and a dormitory banda that can accommodate 4 beds.
There is a large camping area and a spacious common dinning shelter inside or on the porch. The grounds are also nicely stocked bar offering beers and sodas with snacks. There is a kitchen which offers a number of wonderful delicious dishes.

While at Mgahinga Community Campground one can still get a chance to trek golden monkeys and mountain gorillas in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Trekking the impressive Afromontane forest in the park is where the happiness begins. Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is one of the only two national parks in Uganda that are habitant for over half of the world’s imperial mountain gorillas. Mountain gorillas are critically endangered, and the African Wildlife Foundation estimates that there are less than 900 mountain gorillas remaining in the wild. These small populations of gorillas reside in four national parks spanning three countries: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in Uganda, Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda, and Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
