Ntebeko entrance gate is the main entrance for visitors of Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. The entrance gate lies roughly 14km from Kisoro along a dirt road that is used to get in and away from the Park.
Apparently, Ntebeko entrance route has recently been improved and it now takes less than 30 minute from Kisoro Town. Mgahinga Gorilla National Park has one main entrance for visitors and it is accessible from all directio.
To get to Ntebeko entrance gate from the national park’s headquarters office in Kisoro, one has to follow the main road towards the DRC for about 100m, turn left at the first main junction immediately before the Travelers Rest Inn, then turn right about 100m further. Follow the stone cairns up to Ntebeko.

Ntebeko entrance gate is normally where gorilla trekking starts from at around 8:00am in the morning. This memorable activity takes place daily. A visitor needs to plan for his/her time well while with a gorilla family since the maximum time allowed to spend with them is one hour.
While at Ntebeko gate you get a great overview of the area by walking up the viewpoint, which is just 15 minutes from Ntebeko Gate.
